sonicTransporter 2.7 to 2.8
This procedure can take quite a while especially if your internet is slow. Do not reboot or power off your unit until the upgrade is complete.
1) Go to sonicorbiter.com and click manage next to the sonicTransporter you want to upgrade. Then go to apps -> Software Manager. Click the Update button and wait for it to complete. Then reboot your sonicTransporter.
Once this is complete you are ready to start the upgrade to 2.8.
2) You need to manually enter a new URL for upgrade to start so copy: upgrade28.php and insert at end of your current web address. So if you’re address is 192.168.1.10 then enter http://192.168.1.10/upgrade28.php into your browser.
Once you enter this URL the upgrade will start. It can take quite a long time. Wait for it to finish!
3) Reboot and run the 2.8 upgrade again by entering the same address again as before so be sure it has /upgrade28.php at end.
Again; once you enter this URL the upgrade will start. Reboot when it’s finished and your version should now show 2.8. Congratulations!

Update Procedure for sonicTransporter
sonicTransporter 2.5 to 2.7
This procedure can take quite a while if your internet is slow. Do not reboot or power off your unit until the upgrade is complete.
Go to sonicorbiter.com and click manage next to the sonicTransporter you want to upgrade. Then go to apps -> Software Manager. Click the Update button and wait for it to complete. Then reboot your sonicTransporter.
Once this is complete you are ready to start the major upgrade to the correct release (2.7).
You need to manually enter the upgrade URL
http://<sonicTransporter ip>/upgrade25.php
So if your sonicTransporter IP address is 192.168.1.10 then enter http://192.168.1.10/upgrade25.php into your browser.
Once you enter this URL the upgrade will start. It can take quite a long time. Wait for it to finish!
Once it’s done reboot your sonicTransporter. Some other packages will need to be readjusted so wait about 20 minutes before continuing.
The file shares will need to be rebuilt. Go into Settings and then System settings and press Save changes.
At this point you can use your sonicTransporter normally.Tags: None
