Installing HQPlayer Embedded on the sonicTransporter

    Install HQPlayer Embedded server

    If you don't have HQPlayer server installed on your sonicTransporter you can install it from sonicorbiter.com
    Go to sonicorbiter.com from a web browser on your computer or tablet and go to
    sonicorbiter.com -> Manage (next to the sonicTransporter) -> Apps -> Software Manager -> Available Apps -> HQPlayer Server -> Install

    Getting a license for HQPlayer Embedded Server

    You can buy a sonicTransporter with HQplayer server installed. If you need to install it on an existing sonicTransporter follow these steps.
    Go to sonicorbiter.com from a web browser on your computer or tablet and go to
    sonicorbiter.com -> Manage (next to the sonicTransporter) -> Settings -> HQPlayer Server -> HQplayer Config
    Select about at the bottom of the page
    copy the fingerprint. You will need this to purchase a license.
    Click here to purchase or go to the signalyst.com web store.
    Once you have the license file go to
    sonicorbiter.com -> Manage (next to the sonicTransporter) -> Settings -> HQPlayer Server -> HQplayer Config
    Select key at the bottom of the page and upload your key file.

    Configure the NAA (HQPlayer) player

    Once you have HQPlayer server installed on your sonicTransporter you need to have an NAA player such as a Rendu series network player configured in NAA player mode. To do this
    Go to sonicorbiter.com from a web browser on your computer or tablet and go to
    sonicorbiter.com -> Manage (next to your player) -> Apps -> Audio App Switcher -> HQPlayer NAA

    Set HQPlayer server to use the NAA player

    Now you must configure HQPlayer server to use the player as an output.
    sonicorbiter.com -> Manage (next to the sonicTransporter) -> Settings -> HQPlayer Server -> HQPlayer configure
    login with admin:admin
    go to the configuration screen (selected from the menu at the bottom of the page).
    Select your NAA player from the Network Audio backend -> Device section
    And press Apply at the bottom of the page

    Configure Roon to control HQPlayer

    In the Roon user interface on your computer or tablet enable HQPlayer
    Settings -> Setup -> Add HQPlayer

    Play music

    Select the player in the lower right corner of Roon and select HQPlayer as the output. Play something. It will play out the DAC that is connected to your Renu series music player.
